Members of the Chair hold classes at the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate University Study of Law, the Postgraduate Specialist Study in Law of European Integrations, the Postgraduate Specialist Study in Corporate Finance Law, Postgraduate Doctoral Study Programme in the field of Social Sciences, the subject of Law.

Also, members of the Chair are engaged in scientific and highly professional work by participating at international and national scientific and professional conferences and meetings, organising scientific and professional consulting and programmes of lifelong learning. They also present papers at international and national scientific and professional conferences and meetings. In addition to organising and preparing classes for the courses conducted by the Chair, its members are actively contributing to the development of science with the publications of their scientific and professional papers.

It should be noted that the members of the Chair are actively involved in the work of groups preparing legal texts, government bodies, professional associations and other organisations at the local (regional), national and international level. Through their work the members of the Chair are continuously improving their competences by participating in programmes of lifelong learning as well as by taking part in frequent research visits at renowned international institutions.

Awards and acknowledgments are a testament that through their work they are contributing to the popularisation of science as well as connecting science with economy, and achieving valuable social goals. In the academic year 2006/2007, Assist Prof. Ivana Kunda, Ph.D., was the recipient of the Award of the Foundation of the University of Rijeka for special merits in scientific research, teaching and public activities, which had the purpose of promoting, disseminating and applying scientific research results. In 2010/2011, Assist. Prof. Emilia Mišćenić, Ph.D., winner of the annual National Award for Science and Scientific Novices in the field of social sciences in 2010, also became the recipient of the Award of the Foundation of the University of Rijeka.

Members of the Chair have launched and organised the International scientific conference Petar Šarčević, and Prof. Vesna Tomljenović, Ph.D., member of the Chair, has become the first Croatian judge of the General Court of the European Union and the president of the Croatian Comparative Law Association, established by the Chair.
